This means I’m nearly half way my cruising ‘holiday’ It’s gone quicly, it is probably that I keep myself busy, but it seems the time has gone fast. I expected to get the question: “How is the food” But not at all, you must think he is still typing, sailing, playing his pipes and enjoying his trip on this big ship, so food must be good. It is not bad, but I don’t think Jonnie and Thérèse Boer from the Librije would like to cook with these ingredients. I’ve not heart complaints from crew or guests. All through the day there is a great variation of hot and cold food especially with breakfast – lunch – diner. In between there is a limited choice, but still enough to chose from. Definitely nobody starves on board Apart from breakfast, it is very seldom that I say this was really nice food.
English and continental breakfast with bread rolls, sweet bread, warm food in the morning like porridge, sausages, lots of fruit like 3 types of melon, annanas, pear, apple, peach, lunch salads soups. Meats, cheeses, marmalades, eggs, fruit juices, tea, coffee, milk, hamburgers, hotdogs, shall I go on?? Lunch and dinner are the same. Soups, cold and hot dishes to chose from, rice, etc. Also limited bread. And plenty of deserts to choose from. No culinary highlights but edible. But if you sit in the wrong part to eat: you have to listen to background music and two tellies.

Hallo Joeb, knap gedaan, man: de mooiste vrouw aan boord aan jouw zijde! Behalve trots zie je er ook goed uit.
Dat cruises over veel eten gaan wist ik, op de kwaliteit valt dus af te dingen. Misschien ook maar goed dat het niet zo lekker is als in de Librije: je zou de trap in Het Refter niet meer op kunnen rennen.
Ben je nu op de helft van je reis?

We zittenbuiten tijdens een zwoele avond aan een heerlijke witte wijn en genieten op afstand van de lekkere gerechten die jullie krijgen voorgeschoteld. Hou het nog even vol. Alweer op de helft...! Blijven genieten Joeb!

Het is maar hoe je het bekijkt, kijk vandaag had ik een big American, ook niet een culinair hoogstandje,maar toch lekker.
Zo te lezen heb je je plekje gevonden zo langzamerhand, mooi zo.

Luckily I was with cec when you phoned so it was nice to say hello to you whilst you were in Sunny Mexico amd we were i n grey Netherlands. My mouth watered on reading your description of the breakfast. However I could''t face that every day. Take care and God Bless.
